Borrowers with a Fannie Mae-backed mortgage who engage in a strategic default won’t be eligible for another Fannie Mae-backed loan for seven years.  Fannie also will seek deficiency judgments against borrowers if allowed by state law.  Fannie in late July was writing full-blown instructions to servicers detailing its new policies.  Strategic defaults are defaults by borrowers who have CAPACITY to pay but don’t, or who don’t complete a workout alternative in good faith.  We will just have to wait and see what happens..I haven’t seen this happen yet.

Shred all offers of pre-approved credit cards
Don’t carry your social security card in your wallet
Do not have your social security number on your drivers license
Do have a secured mailbox
Shred all credit or banking information, do not throw it in the garbage
Safeguard your social security information, just don’t give it out verbally.
Do not have your social printed on your employee badge
Do not have your drivers license printed on your checks
Do not have your social or spouse ID number on your insurance card in your wallet
Do order a credit check every year to make sure that no one is using your ID.
People will look in your trash for information, be sure to shred everything with personal information.

Toxic Plastic 3-Turn Over the Bottle and Look….Most people have heard of Toxic plastic 3 it is considered by many experts as to be one of the most dangerous, carcinogenic plastic ever created by man.  It can not be RECYCLED, it will sit in our landfills forever emitting carcinogenic chemicals into the air, water and soil.  This plastic has been approved by the FDA but we still use it in packaged foods, health care products etc.  Turn over any plastic container you have and see if it has a 3 or V stamped into the plastic.  The carcinogens leach into the products they contain, resulting in your eating PVC, or lathering it into your hair, brushing your teeth and much more.  When buying your plastic items be sure to check that they don’t have a 3 or V.
